You Can Still Travel to Cuba

If you didn’t go to Cuba when I told you, now you may not get the chance to see my homeland.
Last April 17th the Trump administration announced to implement non-family travel to Cuba. This new restrictions will hurt all travel companies servicing travel to Cuba but it will mostly seriously hurt my Cuban people. I have been taking people to Cuba for 3 years and it has always been a people to people experience. Never dealt with the Cuban government except to get the visas to get into the country. My main reason to do Cuba tours is to help my people by staying at their homes, eating at private restaurants and getting around in private cars. Because I know that I was putting the money right on their hands.

The Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control intends to implement changes to non-family travel to Cuba “in the coming months,” a Treasury Department spokesperson said last April 19th. In an email, the spokesperson wrote:
“OFAC will implement Treasury-specific changes to non-family travel and other regulations via amendments to its Cuban Assets Control Regulations. OFAC expects to issue new regulatory amendments in the coming months, and will propose revisions to existing restrictions at that time.” 

I’d suggest you book your trip to Cuba NOW! Usually, it takes 90 days for the new regulations to take effect unless it’s set for immediate effect.
