Why there is so much misinformation out there?

I've been in the United States for almost 18 years now, and people have always been asking about traveling to Cuba. Since December 2015 when President Barack Obama announced about reestablishing the diplomatic relationship with Cuba, there has been so much misinformation out there about whether American Citizens can travel to Cuba or not. The answer is yes; you can go to Cuba. There are some restrictions related to traveling to the island but no worries, we are here to help you navigate through those issues and get you there safe.

There are twelve categories in which you can travel to Cuba, and in case you have not gotten the chance to familiarize yourself with it I'm listing them below. Booking a flight to Cuba is as easy as booking a flight to any other destination. You can travel to Cuba on Southwest Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air, JetBlue, Silver Airways, Spirit Airlines, and United Airlines. International departure points are Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, Orlando, Atlanta, Charlotte, Houston, Los Angeles, Newark, and New York with 20 daily flights to Havana. The 12 general licensed categories for Cuba include:

• Visiting family
• Humanitarian projects or to provide support to the Cuban people
• Official business of the U.S. government, foreign governments, and certain intergovernmental organizations
• Journalistic activities
• Support for the Cuban people
• Educational activities by persons at academic institutions
• People to people group travel
• Religious activities
• Public performance, clinics, workshops, athletic or other competitions, and exhibitions
• Authorization to provide travel services, carrier services, and remittance forwarding services
• Activities of private foundations, research or educational institutes
• Exportation of certain Internet-based services

Cruise to Cuba 
Everyone has the cruise fever to Cuba this day and we are so happy to know that you are stopping over for a night or two. We are thrilled to have you and show you around our beloved cities, but most people come back saying they didn't get to see much. The truth is that you'll only have time for a city tour a lunch or dinner depending on what time your cruise docks and whether your cruise is spending the night in one of the ports. Then you may get the chance to experience a night shows such as Tropicana, el Parisién or some live music at a local café. We want you to go and experience Cuba any way you can but know that you can go for a few days, a week, two weeks or a month if you wish to stay that long. Your visa is good for three months but allowed to stay in the country for 30 days.

I client called me last week saying that she has spoken with another travel agent and that she said you weren't allowed to fly to Cuba and only you could go on a cruise. Well, I guess that travel agent is not up to date on the Cuba market and how you can get there. Yes, I will repeat myself here, you can fly to Cuba and spend as many days as you can afford to go.
