It's Labor Day in the USA not in Cuba

Two beautiful countries, and two different ways to celebrate Labor day... Labor day in the United States means to party with your friends and family, BBQ in the backyard, and probably a little weekend getaway with the family. Labor day also means the end of the Summer, but it also means the beginning of a new season, the Fall, my favorite time.

 On the other hand, Labor day in Cuba is celebrated on May 1st every year, and it means that people have to go on the street and march because it is mandatory by the government. It's a "holiday," but you only have half a day to yourself and probably spend it going to the store, cleaning, cooking, or looking for water... "Resolviendo los Problemas," like we say in Cuba, meaning resolving problems.

These problems are on the daily lives of the Cuban people but... I just wanted to point out how holidays differ from each country. However, I do want to say that I'm sad that the Summer is winding down and that now it's a good time to start planning your fall and winter getaway. Whether it is to the mountains, the sea, or the rivers, I can help you plan the most incredible adventure. Did you know that 22 million Americans traveled this past month of August? Not sure where they went, but I know that they were not waiting around to go have an adventure, even if it was a road trip to the nearest city from their home.
