I recently returned from a breathtaking trip to Argentina, where I had the privilege of staying at the Gran Meliá Iguazu and experiencing the wonders of the Iguazu Falls. From the moment I arrived, I knew I was in for a special treat.

They went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable, from remembering my dietary needs and creating delicious vegetarian dishes specially for me to providing helpful advice about the area. Their attention to detail was truly impressive.

The highlight of my trip, of course, was the Iguazu Falls. These incredible falls are one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, and they did not disappoint. I was able to walk the trails around the falls, each offering a unique perspective of their grandeur. The power and beauty of the falls were truly awe-inspiring.
To get even closer to the falls, I took a thrilling boat ride that took me right up to the base of the cascades. The spray of the water was refreshing, and the views were simply unforgettable.

Adventures Beyond the Falls
While the Iguazu Falls were the star of the show, my trip to Argentina offered more than just natural beauty. I also had the opportunity to:

• Visit Brazil: I crossed the border into Brazil and took a helicopter ride over the falls, which offered a breathtaking panoramic view.
• Learn to Tango: I took a tango lesson at the hotel, which was a lot of fun (and a little bit challenging!).
• Relax at the Spa: I indulged in a variety of spa treatments, which were the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring.
• Enjoy Delicious Food: I feasted on delicious Argentine cuisine at the hotel's restaurants, which featured fresh, local ingredients.
• Encounter Wildlife: The hotel is located in the heart of the rainforest, so I had the opportunity to see a variety of wildlife, including monkeys, toucans, and butterflies.​

Unexpected Encounters with the Local Wildlife

One of the most memorable aspects of my stay at the Gran Meliá Iguazu was the unexpected encounters with the local wildlife. I woke up on several mornings to find monkeys perched on my balcony, curiously peering into my room. While the hotel does warn guests to keep their doors locked and belongings secured due to the playful nature of these creatures, it was still a delightful experience to have them visit so closely.

My trip to Argentina was an unforgettable experience. From the luxurious accommodations at the Gran Meliá Iguazu to the awe-inspiring Iguazu Falls and the abundance of exciting activities, it was a trip that will stay with me forever.
