Visit Mansion Xanadu, residency of Dupont. The “Xanadú Mansion” Golf Course Club House, located on the San Bernardino crags, was designed by architects Covarrocas and Govantes in July 1927. The owner of this exclusive estate was French American millionaire Irenee Dupont de Nemours, born on 21 December 1876. Irenee was the Dupont of that generation who took the greatest interest in developing the company founded by his great grandfather Eleuthere Dupont in Delaware in 1802. The 11-room, 11-bathroom house has three terraces, seven balconies and a private pier. Its design includes precious timber, such as mahogany and cedar, as well as beautiful marble from Cuba, Spain and Italy.
Finally, the city tour to the old town Havana Vieja will take you to the 4 colonial squares: SAN FRANCISCO DE ASIS, PLAZA DE ARMAS, PLAZA DE LA CATHEDRAL AND PLAZA VIEJA. Starting at the Floridita Bar, the cradle of the Daiquiri, popularized by Ernest Hemingway in the 50s. Followed by the visit to the Ambos Mundos Hotel where Ernest Hemingway‘s room is located. While in the room you will learn the story behind the Nobel Price won by the writer in 1954 . In the room there are still some of the belongings left by the famous author.
