A Year in Review: Adventures of 2024

As the year winds down, it's a perfect moment to reflect on all the incredible adventures I've had the privilege to experience as a travel advisor. From international FAM trips to personal journeys that allowed me to dive deeper into my passion for travel, 2024 has been full of enriching experiences, learning, and growth. Let's look at the exciting highlights — from my travels and those of my amazing clients!

My Adventures in 2024
This year was a whirlwind of amazing trips, events, and learning opportunities — a journey that not only connected me even more deeply to the destinations I'm so passionate about but also fostered personal growth and enriched my understanding of the travel industry.

January: Canada FAM with the Quebec Tourism Board
The year kicked off with an incredible FAM trip to Canada, where I explored Quebec's charming and snowy streets with the Quebec Tourism Board. The region's rich history, culture, and culinary delights made it an unforgettable start to the year.

February: Dominican Republic – A Celebration of Love
In February, I took a personal journey to the Dominican Republic. This trip was a beautiful exploration of this Caribbean gem and a celebration of love. The beaches, resorts, and local culture provided the perfect backdrop for reflection and growth.

March: Italy and the ASTA River Cruise Expo
In March, I traveled to Italy with a group of fellow travel advisors, learning about the country's beauty and history while gaining valuable insights on how to better sell Italian destinations. Later that month, I attended the ASTA River Cruise Expo in Amsterdam, where I had the chance to sail with AmaWaterways through the picturesque canals and waterways of the Netherlands.

April: Cuba Tour
April brought me back to Cuba, where I led a tour for travelers looking to experience my homeland's vibrant culture, music, and history. It was a joy to share my passion for Cuba with others and introduce them to its unique beauty.

May: ASTA Travel Advisor Conference in Dallas
In May, I attended the ASTA Travel Advisor Conference in Dallas, connecting with industry experts and learning new strategies to enhance my clients' travel services. It was a wonderful opportunity to network and gain insights into the future of travel.

August: Margaritaville at Sea Cruise
I sailed aboard the Margaritaville at Sea cruise in August, with stops in Key West and Cozumel. It was a fun tropical getaway with lively entertainment and memorable moments that reminded me of my Cuban roots. The colorful ship and vibrant atmosphere made it an excellent trip for those seeking a short escape.

September: Atlanta Salsa Congress and Cuba Tour
September was full of rhythm! I attended the Atlanta Salsa Congress, where I immersed myself in Latin music and dance. Shortly after, I was off to Cuba again, leading another tour and sharing the island's beauty with new travelers.

October: ASTA Premium Business Summit and WTE Conference
In October, I attended the ASTA Premium Business Summit aboard the Valiant Lady, which taught me how to scale my business, storytelling, Artificial intelligence, and luxury services strategies. I also participated at the World Travel Expo (WTE) in Miami, where I learned from industry leaders and got the latest updates on emerging travel trends.

December: New Zealand, Tahiti, and the Society Islands
The final month of the year took me on an incredible adventure to New Zealand and Tahiti, which I was fortunate to experience thanks to a prize I won from Delta Vacations, ASTA, and InterContinental Tahiti. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity allowed me to explore the stunning landscapes of New Zealand, enjoy wine tasting in Auckland, and embark on unforgettable hikes. My journey continued with a stay at the luxurious Intercontinental Tahiti before setting sail to the beautiful Society Islands aboard Windstar Cruises, surrounded by crystal-clear waters and tropical beauty.

Client Adventures: A Year of Dream Getaways
While my travels were unforgettable, what truly made 2024 special was the joy of sharing these journeys with my clients. It was a year filled with bucket-list destinations, cultural discoveries, and unforgettable memories, and I'm grateful to have been part of each of these experiences.

Exploring Cuba, Italy, and Amsterdam
This year, I enjoyed planning trips to Cuba, Italy, and Amsterdam for several clients. Whether exploring Havana's vibrant streets, experiencing the romance of Italy's countryside, or cruising the canals of Amsterdam, these trips brought my clients closer to the cultures they had always dreamed of experiencing.

Panama, Seattle, and River Cruises through Europe and the Caribbean
I also helped clients explore Panama's tropical beauty, the diverse landscapes of Seattle, and iconic European cities via luxury river cruises. Additionally, clients had the opportunity to explore the Caribbean through memorable all-inclusive resorts and cruises, indulging in sun, sand, and adventure.

Travel Trends from 2024
Looking back at the trends that shaped 2024, it's clear that travelers were drawn to immersive experiences, cultural connections, and small-group adventures. From river cruises through Europe's charming cities to cultural tours in the Caribbean and Latin America, the focus was on creating meaningful connections with the destinations and the people they visited.
